Governor McDonnell Announces Board Appointments and Additional Appointment to Administration
RICHMOND – Governor Bob McDonnell today announced an additional appointment to his administration under the Administration secretariat. McDonnell announced an appointment to the George Mason University Board of Visitors. He also announced appointments to one other Virginia board.

Administration
Mark S. Cartwright, Special Assistant to the Governor for Supplier Diversity and Procurement Compliance
Before his appointment as Special Assistant, Mark Cartwright served as the Supplier Diversity Manager at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and built the University's nascent supplier diversity program from the ground up.
Prior to his position with Virginia Tech, Cartwright worked in the finance and banking industry for eight years and is particularly well suited to assist small businesses in obtaining capital resources and financial support.
Cartwright graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1987 and received his M.B.A. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 2001.
