Governor McDonnell Announces Additional Appointments to Administration
RICHMOND - Governor Bob McDonnell today announced three appointments to his administration in the governor's scheduling office. He also announced appointments to four boards and commissions. Further announcements regarding additional appointments in the McDonnell administration will continue to be made in the months ahead.
Scheduling
Katherine Harris, Director of Scheduling
Katherine Harris most recently served as Scheduler. Harris joined the McDonnell administration in May of 2010 as a special assistant for appointments in the Secretary of the Commonwealth's office. Prior to joining the administration she worked on Governor McDonnell's 2009 gubernatorial campaign as well as his Inaugural Committee. Harris attended Virginia Commonwealth University for a Bachelor of Science in mass communications. She is originally from Fredericksburg and currently resides in Richmond.
Emily Rabbitt, Deputy Director of Scheduling & Travel Aide
Emily Rabbitt most recently served as Deputy Scheduler. Emily graduated from Wake Forest University in May 2011 with a double major in history and French and is a 2012 graduate of the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership Emerging Leaders Program. During the summer of 2010, Rabbitt interned for Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer in Washington, DC. She is a native of Alexandria and currently resides in Richmond.
Chad Cole, Scheduling Assistant & Deputy Travel Aide/Policy Assistant
Chad Cole began serving the McDonnell Administration in 2011 as a Governor's Fellow, and was appointed as the Executive Research Assistant for Policy and Public Safety. In this position, Chad provided support to both offices by conducting legislative research, coordinating scheduling and administrative items, and managing several special projects. Previously, Chad worked as an intern for McGuireWoods Consulting, LLC in both their Bucharest and Richmond offices. Chad earned his bachelor's degree in Economics and German Studies from the University of Virginia, and is a graduate of the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership.
